Matsuura Machinery will debut the all new MX-330 Vertical Machining Center at IMTS. The company will machine a Valve Body for the Industrial Parts Industry using S45C Steel. The part size is 7.9” x 8.66”x 7.3” H. This demo will show the capabilities of the machine and highlight: the machining using Orbit Machining and Synchro Tip functions and machine cycle time reductions by integrating the turning process.
Matsuura Machinery USA will be located in the South Hall, Booth S-8148, in McCormick Place. The 5,000 sq. ft. booth will showcase how Matsuura’s automation solutions and new technologies provide a competitive advantage.
The all new MX-330 delivers machining center versatility with a standard Matsuura-made high accuracy spindle of 15,000 RPM with 48 ft-lbs. of torque. Optional 15,000 RPM with 88 ft-lbs. of torque and 20,000 RPM with 80 ft-lbs. of torque are available.
“The Matsuura MX-330 is ideal for the medical and aerospace industries and other high precision components. The MX-330 offers an easy transition from 3-Axis to 5-sided or 5-axis production,” said Matsuura Machinery USA President Craig St. John.
The MX-330 is compactly built requiring floor space of only 6.1 ft. wide by 10 ft. long and ensures high-rigidity with a generous machining area and a table loading capacity of 177 lbs.
The machine’s maximum work envelope is D330 mm x H300 mm, with an optional D420 mm x H 300 mm. The MX-330 is designed with a RAM type structure, which offers a compact and highly durable machining platform. Available tool magazines include: standard 30 tool drum and optional 60 and 90 tool chain.
The MX-330 comes standard with a FANUC 31iMB with PANEL-I Control. The FANUC31iMB with PANEL-I Control is designed to be extremely user-friendly by making operating CNC machines easy and efficient.
“The MX-330 5-Axis Vertical Machining Center is excellent for small parts, but can handle parts up to ø13” X H11.8” and weighting up to 177 lbs.,” St. John added.
The company will showcase six machines at IMTS 2016. In addition to the MX-330, Matsuura will exhibit the H.Plus-400 Horizontal Machining Center, the LX-160 High Speed Linear Motor Machine, the MAM72-35V5-Axis Vertical Machining Center and the MX-850 5-Axis Vertical Machining Center and the V.Plus-550 Vertical Machining Center.
“Matsuura will assist your shop in manufacturing higher quality parts faster, more efficiently and at a lower cost. We will feature six machines at this year’s IMTS that will demonstrate how Matsuura machines minimize your cost of production, increase your part quality and reduce set-up and lead times,” St. John concluded.
The International Manufacturing Technology Show is one of the largest industrial trade shows in the world, featuring more than 2,000 exhibiting companies and 114,147 registrants.
