Meet Kinuko Koga, Matsuura’s Engineering Administrative Assistant

Welcome to our employee spotlight series, featuring profiles on Matsuura team members. Get to know Matsuura’s Engineering Administrative Assistant, Kinuko Koga:

How long have you worked with Matsuura and what does your job entail? I have worked for Matsuura a little over 3 years. My role involves administrative tasks including: invoicing, purchasing, managing updates/documentation for machines.

What is unusual or a memorable moment at Matsuura? I participated in the ‘Shoot for Scholarships’ event, where we did clay shooting.  I had never even touched a gun before this event. In the end, shooting guns isn’t my cup of tea, but it was a very ‘American’ experience and I’m glad I did it.

What is a career lesson you have learned thus far? Think ahead and be prepared for what’s coming next.  Be thorough, even when it gets tedious.  My future self will appreciate this lesson learned.

What is your favorite part of your role at Matsuura? I like being able to help service team members, who are so wonderful, kind and hardworking. I feel lucky to have met everyone here at Matsuura.

What would you do (for a career) if you weren’t Matsuura’s Engineering Administrative Assistant? I would pursue interpreting or translating work. After raising my two children for ten years, being around adults is a welcome change!

What do you do when not at Matsuura? I would pursue interpreting or translating work.

What is a fun fact many people do not know about you? I have an extensive collection of Manga (comic books) at my parent’s home in Japan.  I spend hours reading those when I visit home.
