St. Paul, MN (May 29, 2018) — Matsuura Machinery USA, Inc. announces the selection of John Wright as Application Engineer.

Wright will train and support distributor engineers and Matsuura customers in the operation and troubleshooting of all Matsuura machining centers for machine software, machining applications, cutting conditions, control functions and Fanuc 5-axis functions.

“John brings further strength to our team with his advanced machining experience, along with his education and background,” said Sean Ormson, Matsuura USA Application Engineering Manager. 

Matsuura Application Engineers also perform time studies, test cuts, CAM and manual programming, create CAD models, setup and execute machine cutting demos for both showroom machines and technical workshops/open houses, as well as troubleshoot machine functions and Matsuura software.

“John’s across-the-board background in the CNC Machine Tool Industry, his extensive machine tool knowledge and his customer commitment make John a significant addition to our service organization,” Ormson continued.

Wright earned a Certificate of Machine Tool Trades from Hutchinson Technical College. He recently served as Lead CNC Programmer and Process Engineer in the Machine Tool Industry.
