Matsuura will exhibit the H.Plus-400 Horizontal Machining Center, the LX-160 High Speed Linear Motor Machine, the MX-850 5-Axis Vertical Machining Center, the MAM72-35V5-Axis Vertical Machining Center and the V.Plus-550 Vertical Machining Center. Matsuura also announced their plans to unveil a sixth machine in July. This machine will be new to the US market.
“Matsuura can assist your shop in manufacturing higher quality parts faster, more efficiently and at a lower cost. We will feature six machines at this year’s IMTS that will demonstrate how Matsuura machines minimize your cost of production, increase your part quality and reduce set-up and lead times,” said a Matsuura Machinery USA, Inc. Spokesperson.
The Matsuura H.Plus horizontal machining centers are highly productive machine tools with high speed, high rigidity and high precision. The H.Plus series delivers long periods of reliable, unmanned operation, high accuracy and exceptionally efficient production.
Since the series’ debut in 2000, over 1,650 Matsuura H.Plus machining centers have been installed worldwide in various industries, including: aircraft, automobile and medical.
“All models in the H.Plus Series offer numerous tool and pallet storage options, which can easily be expanded upon. These options can be retrofitted in the field, with minimum machine downtime,” said a Matsuura Machinery USA Spokesperson.
The H.Plus-400 is equipped with a #40 taper spindle, 15.74 in X 15.74 in pallet and standard 15,000 RPM spindle. An optional 20,000 RPM spindle is available.
A high-speed direct drive rotary table is an option on the H.Plus-400. This rotary table attains a maximum feed rate of 100 revolutions per minute. Indexing time of the 4th axis can be reduced 40% using Matsuura’s unique Dynamic Clamp System, along with, the new Automatic Acceleration and Deceleration Control.
The LX-160 High Grade Vertical Linear Motor Machine is equipped with fast and accurate linear motors in all axes for machining with high-speed and high-precision. The Matsuura LX-160 is ideal for the medical and aerospace industries with exceptionally fast cutting and micro tools up to 46,000 RPM.
“The Matsuura LX-160 Machining Center is the ultimate Five-Axis Vertical Machine. It utilizes technology permitting high-speed and high-precision machining,” the Matsuura Machinery USA Spokesperson added.
“A distinct aspect of the LX-160 is its ability to machine any part fitting into an 8.5” by 6” cylinder. Additional options include: 2 or 42 pallets, 52-338 tools, maximum work piece size of 6.3’’ diameter X 9.06” and enormous part capacity of 45 lbs.,” the Matsuura Machinery USA Spokesperson said.
The LX-160’s five-axis design is not a three-axis machine with a “bolt on” 4th and 5th axis but a purposely designed true 5 axis machine. The LX-160 is designed for the high-speed, high-accuracy market, with a focus on small work piece processing and unmanned operation with the available pallet changer options.
The Matsuura MX-850 Vertical Machining Center offers a variety of configurations and is ideal for all applications, all industries and all materials, appealing to every corner of the manufacturing industry.
“The MX-850 is compactly built, yet ensures high rigidity and a sufficient machining area and workability. In addition to standard spindle of 12,000 RPM, optional spindle of 20,000 RPM for high speed machining or 15,000 RPM for heavy duty machining, the Matsuura MX-850 5-Axis Vertical Machining Center offers customers the best in premium machining center versatility,” the Matsuura USA Spokesperson explained.
Incorporating decades of Matsuura expertise in premium machining center design and technology, the Matsuura MAM72-35V features high-accuracy complex five-axis machining with one-chucking to meet the need for cost-effective unmanned operation.
“The Matsuura MAM72 Series delivers long periods of unmanned productivity, and provides versatility in the machining of very small to very large components. Matsuura has a high performance MAM72 solution for every industry,” the Matsuura USA Spokesperson said.
“Enhancing cost-savings and providing better positioning with a maximum of two total setups, the MAM72-35V provides pallet and productivity solutions to keep your work center efficiently producing components around the clock. The Matsuura MAM72-35V offers an array of configurations from PC2 to Full Automation and Unmanned Running,” the Matsuura Machinery USA Spokesperson added.
The Matsuura V.Plus-550(N) will feature a Table Work Surface of 33.85” by 15.74” and a Table Loading Capacity of 880 lbs. In addition, the Maxia Spindle Speed Range of the V.Plus-550(N) is 50-15,000 min -1 and includes the S% Direct Drive System. Standard Tool Storage Capacity is 30 tools. The V.Tech-550(N) will include the G-Tech 30i NC System as standard
