St. Paul, MN (May 11, 2016) — Matsuura Machinery USA announced today plans to exhibit the H.Plus-400 Horizontal Machining Center at the International Manufacturing Technology Show at Chicago’s McCormick Place September 12-17, 2016.
Matsuura Machinery USA will be located in the South Hall, Booth S-8148, in McCormick Place. The 5,000 sq. ft. booth will showcase how Matsuura’s automation solutions and new technologies provide a competitive advantage.
The Matsuura H.Plus horizontal machining centers are highly productive machine tools with high speed, high rigidity and high precision. The H.Plus series delivers long periods of reliable, unmanned operation, high accuracy and exceptionally efficient production.
Since the series’ debut in 2000, over 1,650 Matsuura H.Plus machining centers have been installed worldwide in various industries, including: aircraft, automobile and medical.
“All models in the H.Plus Series offer numerous tool and pallet storage options, which can be easily expanded upon. These options can be retrofitted in the field, with minimum machine downtime,” said a Matsuura Machinery USA Spokesperson.
The H.Plus-400 is equipped with a #40 taper spindle, 400×400 mm pallet and standard 15,000 RPM spindle. An optional 20,000 RPM spindle is available.
A high-speed direct drive rotary table is an option on the H.Plus-400. This rotary table attains a maximum feed rate of 100 revolutions per minute. Indexing time of the 4th axis can be reduced 40% using Matsuura’s unique Dynamic Clamp System, along with, the new Automatic Acceleration and Deceleration Control.

The company will showcase six machines at IMTS 2016. In addition to the H.Plus-400, Matsuura will exhibit the LX-160 High Speed Linear Motor Machine, the MAM72-35V5-Axis Vertical Machining Center, the MX-850 5-Axis vertical Machining Center and the V.Plus-550 Vertical Machining Center. Matsuura also announced their plans to unveil a sixth machine in July. This machine will be new to the US market.
