St. Paul, MN (August 16, 2021) — Matsuura Machinery USA, Inc., an innovator in the design, development, and manufacture of high-precision manufacturing solutions for more than 80 years, announces the appointment of Ruth Hedman as Controller.
Hedman maintains diverse accounting experience spanning multiple industries. Prior to joining Matsuura USA, she was responsible for the efficient and effective operations of numerous administrative units including Accounting, Finance, HR, Payroll, and Office Management for manufacturing and distribution companies, healthcare organizations, real estate firms, and several non-profits.
“Ruth brings a broad and impressive range of experience that will help advance our fiscal sustainability efforts and strengthen our accounting platform and processes. I am confident she will be instrumental in Matsuura’s fiscal strategic planning. We are eager to have someone of her caliber join our operation” said Brad Baker, VP of Finance and Administration.
As a seasoned leader bringing over two decades of financial accounting experience, she will develop financial strategies to expand Matsuura’s accounting team and enhance the reporting systems and processes to support Matsuura’s continued growth and profitability.
“Ruth’s deep background in accounting and financial management in complex environments will complement our existing leadership well,” Baker concluded.
Hedman earned a Bachelor of Arts in Administrative Management from Minnesota State University, Mankato and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Augsburg College.
